IDP Welcoming & Emergency Response

When families are forced to flee their homes due to conflict and displacement, they often arrive with nothing — no blankets, no cooking tools, no means to protect themselves from the elements. Eita Charity Organization responds to this urgent need through its IDP Welcoming & Emergency Response program, delivering immediate, life-sustaining relief to newly displaced families at their most vulnerable moment. Operating at key displacement reception points in North Darfur, the program ensures that families arriving from conflict-affected areas — including those fleeing the ongoing crisis in Al-Fasher — are met with dignity, care, and essential support from the very first moment of arrival. The program's emergency response encompasses the rapid provision of hot meals to address acute hunger, the distribution of critical non-food items to meet immediate household needs, and coordinated reception support to help families navigate displacement with safety and stability. In 2025, the program delivered the following results: • 325 hot meals distributed to newly displaced IDPs arriving in North Darfur Through swift, compassionate, and coordinated action, Eita ensures that no family faces the first hours and days of displacement alone — providing not just relief, but a foundation of safety and human dignity at the most critical time.

Food Security and Livelihood

Through our Hot Meals and food baskets program, we alleviate food insecurity in major IDP camps and cities across Sudan, reaching the most vulnerable groups affected by conflict and poverty. In 2025, Eita Charity Organization worked with 225 volunteers across the country to provide food aid to Internal Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Camps, Orphaned children, low-income households, and other vulnerable populations. This includes the following: • 325 hot meals distributed for 18,500 IDPs in North Darfur State • 18,000 families supported with essential food baskets across the country.

Water, Sanitation and Hygiene

Eita Charity Organization is committed to ensuring access to safe, clean water and dignified sanitation for the most vulnerable communities across Sudan — particularly Internal Displaced Persons (IDPs) living in camps, schools, and underserved localities. In 2025, our Water Rehabilitation program delivered measurable impact through a combination of emergency water trucking, infrastructure rehabilitation, and community capacity building: • 65,000 IDP families provided with safe drinking water through water trucking and water point rehabilitation • 110 water operators trained to manage and maintain water systems sustainably at the community level By investing in both immediate relief and long-term water system resilience, Eita ensures that communities are not only served today — but equipped to sustain access to clean water for years to come.

Orphan Care Program

The Orphan Care Program was established with a clear and urgent purpose: to identify and support children who have lost their parents to conflict, displacement, and crisis — ensuring they do not face an uncertain future alone. Working through a network of orphanages and community-based partners, Eita Charity Organization provides holistic, life-changing support that addresses the full spectrum of an orphaned child's needs: • Medical attention — ensuring children receive essential healthcare and treatment • Education support — keeping children in school and invested in their futures • Financial assistance — providing families and caregivers with the resources to sustain care • In-kind assistance — distributing essential items including food, clothing, and hygiene supplies In 2025, the program reached a significant milestone: • 415 orphaned children supported with essential lifesaving activities across Sudan Every child deserves safety, dignity, and opportunity. Through this program, Eita is committed to being a steady source of support for Sudan's most vulnerable children — today and in the years ahead.

Education Support

Education is a fundamental right — even in the midst of crisis. Eita Charity Organization's Education Support program works to ensure that conflict and displacement do not rob children of their right to learn, grow, and build a future. Operating in some of Sudan's most affected areas, the program delivers targeted support to schools and students, addressing both the academic and health dimensions of education in emergencies: • Teaching and schooling materials — equipping classrooms with the essential tools needed for effective learning • Hygiene promotion training — building students' knowledge and habits to protect their health and reduce disease transmission within school environments In 2025, the program achieved the following results: • 6 schools supported with essential teaching and schooling items • 150 students trained on best hygiene promotion practices By combining educational resources with health awareness, Eita ensures that schools remain not only places of learning — but safe, healthy environments where children can thrive despite the challenges surrounding them.

Shelter and Non-Food Items

Shelter and Non-Food Items

The program focuses on two core distribution streams, each targeting a distinct layer of household vulnerability: • Winterization kits — providing families with essential items to survive harsh cold conditions, including blankets, warm clothing, and thermal supplies • Household and kitchen items — equipping families with the basic tools needed to cook, eat, and manage daily life with dignity In 2025, the program delivered meaningful relief to thousands of families across Sudan: • 3,200 families supported with non-food items (winterization) • 610 families supported with non-food items (household and kitchen items) Through timely and targeted distributions, Eita ensures that displaced families are not left to face the harshest conditions without support — providing not just items, but a foundation for stability and recovery.

Women and Girls at the Heart of Humanitarian Work

Women are among the groups most affected by conflicts and disasters, yet they are unique and most capable of contributing and changing lives. Eita Charity Organization provides them with emergency relief, and works with them on recovery, rebuilding, and acquiring the skills and tools necessary for self-reliance for more resilient communities. We work according to a scientific methodology based on data and field research to assess needs and design programs accurately and effectively.

Healthcare

Access to healthcare should never be a privilege — yet for millions of conflict-affected people across Sudan, basic medical services remain out of reach. Eita Charity Organization's Healthcare program bridges this critical gap by delivering essential health and nutrition services directly to the communities that need them most. Operating in displacement camps, underserved localities, and conflict-affected areas, the program takes a comprehensive approach to community health — addressing both immediate medical needs and the underlying nutritional vulnerabilities that compound the effects of crisis. By integrating curative care with preventive health promotion and nutrition programming, Eita's Healthcare program works to reduce preventable deaths, improve health outcomes, and restore a sense of normalcy and dignity to communities living through extraordinary hardship.
